 Specialization:

Dr. Arli works with a diverse population and treats a wide range of presenting problems including depression, anxiety, life transitions, stress management, and relationship difficulties. While most clients are seen in individual therapy, during her training she had a particular emphasis area in working with families, couples, and children. She has a particular interest in the teen population and helping them navigate issues of adolescence. In therapy, her approach is more integrative, meaning techniques and interventions from multiple theoretical orientations are used. This includes cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and developmental approaches. She feels that an integrative approach is best, as every individual is different and has different needs.

Due to her extensive training with autism and the special needs population, she is able to work from a cognitive behavioral approach using applied behavioral analysis as well as from a developmental approach using floor time techniques to work with families and children to meet their goals. Her doctoral project was the development of a booklet “The Effects of Autism on Siblings” that was designed to train mental health professionals in this area.

Dr. Arli specializes in treating OCD and related disorders using the empirically supported approach, Exposure with Response Prevention and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Dr. Arli is passionate about using the therapeutic process to help others live a healthy well-balanced life. She is devoted to helping each client meet their highest potential and believes that everyone holds the ability to make positive and healthy decisions in their daily lives.
